FABULOUS TEACHER! The man obviously knows what he is doing. Everything he
teaches is interesting and relevant to class. He is kind, caring, and ready
to further explain things to his students if they should need extra help.
Sure, the work is difficult, but there is no excuse to not do well. S.B.
really eases you into every assignment, so everything appears much easier
than it is. I so wish there was an English 1D. :)
Thank you for getting me through English, Mr. Boling! |

Great teacher! Energetic, engages with his students, encouraging, safe
environment. Mr. Boling has years of teaching experience and chooses to
teach at our community college. He is high quality and a pleasure to learn
from. I got good, solid feedback on my work. Plus he staffs a writing lab
twice a week! A+ for Sean! |

Mr. Boling is one of the best teachers I've had at cuesta. He lets you
choose whatever topic you want and is very helpful at helping you improve
on your mistakes. I've had him for all of my english classes at cuesta and
would highly recommend him for others! |

I took Boling in 56. He was a good instructor that gave you good insight on
writing a paper and great insight on your paper after he graded it.
I did not take him in english 1a, but every paper I wrote I had him look it
over, which he was always willing to do so. |

I really enjoyed his class. He was always very helpful and understanding. I
took a different teacher this semester for eng 1a because his class was
full and I regret it. I highly recommend him. |

Even though he does load up a bit on the work, he never gives you too much
to handle. Mr. Boling is courteous, helpful, and plainly put, a spectacular
instructor! |

Mr. Boling is an awesome instructor. Everyone should take him at least
once, if not more!! As for those complaining about writing essays...it's a
part of your college life. Get used to it. Mr. Boling never made anything
difficult and is always there for help. Great instructor! |

What's this you say? "There was too much writing w/o giving me a very
clearn [sic] understanding of how to do essays." Mr. Boling always gave me
and my classmates a crystal clear understanding of how to do the essays.
In fact, Mr. Boling always gave us a handout that explained each essay. Of
course, one must read the handout in order to understand how to do the
essay. And if one
" alsays [sic] felt a little lost " then one should go to Mr. Boling's
office to get help. While I never felt lost, I always went to Mr. Boling's
office for advice and help pertaining to my essays. He is very accessible
and extremely helpful. Mr. Boling gave me all of the writing tools and
skills that I needed to be very successful in all of my classes that
require essays. Additionally, Mr. Boling has a wonderful personality and
he's a lot of fun. The reviewer that made these statements about Mr.
Boling doesn't even state what section he or she took with Mr. Boling.
Hence, I can't help but wonder if this person really did take a class with
Mr. Boling, or if this is just a figment of his or her imagination.
Indeed, this person is not talking about the Mr. Boling that I and
everybody else know.

This class was so loaded down with handouts. There were some good
discussions sometimes but then there was too much writing w/o giving me a
very clearn understanding of how to do essays. I alsays felt a little lost.
He's friendly and all of that but go over assigments a lot more carefully. |

I really enjoyed this class, he was very helpful, and took time to explain
the lesson and if you had any questions he was right there. He made the
class fun! :) |
