Professor Brudney is an amazing and funny teacher. He makes the class
interesting. I didn't think I would like the class but I enjoyed it and
learned a lot. The class and exams are manageable. I highly recommend this
teacher if you are planning to take Political Science. |

his class everyday and your guranteed a shot at an A. Great Guy! |

HE FRIGGIN' ROCKS!!!! i never thought that i would do well in a government
class and yet he made me so interested in politics that i got an A in that
class. I never wanted to miss a day of his class because everyday was
interesting and fun!!
I had him last semester and i honestly miss that man! i feel like he
delivered knowledge with no prejudice and yet was always able to prove his
point.
I loved his class!!!!! |

A great teacher. Made us laugh every class with his whitty sense of humor.
You watch movies and commercials and learn a lot about our government. He
teaches the information without bias which is amazing for a teacher since
most teachers are liberals.
Take the adjunct tutorial program with him... it really helps and is what
helped me to make my A!
Show up to class and you'll do fine!! |

love, love, love brudney. seriously. one of the most respected teachers at
cuesta. he's amazingly intelligent, and the best part... he's not pushing
his ideology onto his teaching..im still trying to figure out what party he
identifies with. i honestly had NO idea about political science before this
class, and now i can hold my ground in a discussion. take the adjunct class
with it, its incrediby helpful, it only half a credit...but you wont regret
it. ..and that wasnt supposed to rhyme. |

If you actually care about your grade, take this class. Brudney is very
intelligent, very helpful, and freakin' passionate about the subject.
Ignore what others may say...it's not that his OPINION is always right, but
that when it comes to Poli Sci, he simply knows his stuff. If you're an
overly sensitive/opionated person, you might want to reconsider, especially
if you think you know more than he does...trust me, you don't. Anyway,
trust me when I say that if you ask him for help, he's glad to take the
time to help you get through it...make the effort and he'll meet you half
way. |

He is democrat. His favorite paper being the New York Times is a dead
giveaway. It's the most liberal paper in the US. |
Professor: Brudney, K Section: POLSCI 2 Submitted: 2006-10-09 Major: Sociology Year: Year 2 Teacher's Grade: A |
Excellent prof. Pop quizzes aren't easy, but he gives out lots of extra
credit points for showing up on Fridays or turning in some homework
assignments to make up for any losses. He also give bonus "improvement"
points. Reading the test and doing the assignments are key to success. Ask
questions--he;s always happy to go over material.
Essay questions are scored a bit on the low side--choose the one that is
most subjective because he grades those and lets "hired graders" score the
others.
I still can't say for sure what his political persuasion is, which says a
lot about his brilliance in presenting material in a non-partisan way. I
can't imagine someone of his intellectual calibur supporting Dubya, though.

One of the best professors I have ever had. He cares about you as a
student, and going to his class was a pleasure. He said that being
involved in politics is power, which I find true, we have to know our
system to truly succeed. I realized a lot about what surrounds us daily in
government and life thanks to him. Pop quizes will get you, so study his
websites and honestly do the assignments. The reading is not as important
as the assignments, engraining his lecture notes, and taking advantage of
his before test study session. Aweome teacher and man. |

He is a very good teacher. I highly recommend him to anyone thinking about
taking political science since most do for General Education purposes. He
is very clear about what he wants you too know and explains much of it in
class. He also has a website in which you can ask him questions on a
message board that he checks daily and responds to, so their is that
elimate in addition his office hour, which most teachers only offer up and
office hour for help. He also gives his "optional review sessions" to help
people who are still struggling before a test approaches. Also his test
questions are very straight forward, at least I found them to be. In short,
if you need Political Science, than this the class for you without a
doubht. He cares that you pass and does whatever he can do to help you
pass. |

Mr. B gives you all the tools to get an a, and he's really chill about
understanding that you also have a life too. do good on the quizes and turn
ur homework in, sometimes its extra credit. go to class on fridays cuz he
usually gives extra credit just for being there |

The subject matter is somewhat difficult, but not so much that it was
intimidating. Brudney presents the material in a way that will prepare you
for the essays that will be written. Go to class and listen for key terms
and write those terms in your paper and you'll get an A. |

government and left knowing how it works. in fact i took the class a year

able to recite exactly what I had learned in the class. If you do the
homework and show up to class you can get an A |

interacts with the people who are more 'aware' in a way which makes his
lectures a joy to go to. Good for an early morning class, he will wake you
up!
Very entertaining and interesting, but be sure you can write GOOD papers,
or your final and midterm will suck. |

Brudney is the man. He definitely influenced me to enjoy politics rather
than be disgusted with them...He's a good guy, good sense of humor, and is
a great political scientist. Just study, he provides all the tools
necessary to do so, so do it. |
Professor: Brudney, K Section: GOV 2 Submitted: 2005-07-03 Major: General Studies (Transfer) Year: Year 2 Teacher's Grade: A |
An excellent teacher. He makes the topic interesting and gives you
phenomenal study guides. My only gripe with his class was the fact that
only around 12% of the students received A's, but had all the chances in
the world to succeed. This basically means if you are lazy, you will not do
well. His tests are difficult but do-able, only if you put effort in it
however.
Bottom line: If you like politics/are a committed student, you will enjoy
his class. |

A very effective teacher; he gets straight to the point. He teaches you
how, why, and wherefore government works period. He presents everything in
such a way that ensures remembrance and comprehension. There are few notes
to take, and do the reading, pay attention, keep up with the homework
assignments and you'll do fine. Tests quite reasonable, and the class in
general is a compact, effective, organized learning experience. Very good
teacher with quite a sense of humor; he is polite and very nice. Doesn't
take himself too seriously and is quite reasonable (though that certainly
isn't to say he allows slacking or anything). In short, he's a great
teacher, and moderately strict without being a jerk. |

Good teacher.
Not much note taking, but the notes are helpful to study for tests. Do the
homework. It's easy and answers are online to "check" your work. He says
that copying the answers does no good, but I used my homework to study with
for tests. He will give you a detailed study guide as to what information
and what homework exercises will be on the test. |

Anyone who attends Cuesta that doesn't take one of Kent's classes is
missing out on a golden opportunity. He's an outstanding teacher who takes
a subject that many people find difficult and makes it managable through
his humor and personability. He's able to treat his students as peers, and
he's willing to help anyone pass his class who puts forth an effort. I
took 3 classes with Kent, each of which were very enriching. He makes
class fun. |

Mr. Brudney is the man!! He is funny. His lectures are easy to follow, and
always gives you plenty of notice on upcoming tests. His tests are rather
easy, and he prepares you for them very well. He opens up the beginning of
each class for students to ask questions about current events, which can be
funny. He encourages students to come to his office hours for questions and
such. He's even cool enough to go chat with about everday stuff when you
have a break, as long as he's not overwhelmed with his work. He is really
really easy to talk to, down at eye level with all students. He knows the
subject very well, and he proves it when lecturing. Mr. Brudney is a smart
guy. He likes pop quizes, so be sure to read. The homework isnt hard, and
doesnt take much to complete. I honostly have no complaints about this man!

Professor Brudney is an excellent professor who sole purpose is to make
students think. He does not take sides regardless of the debate (e.g.,
abortion, Iraq). His lectures effectively reinforce the text. His tests
require carefull thought and research, and his grading if very fair. He
always made time to meet with me. Also, for the ding dong who stated he is
"lonely and single", I can assure you he is not single as I have met his
wife, and I doubt he is lonely. |

It sound as though the Gov. 2 students got off easy. For the rest of you
going into Gov. 9, this is not a class you can sleep through. Intense
reading abounds. Some of the most complicated I've read. However, I could
not have wished for a better teacher to explain it all. This class is one
of the best I've taken and would suggest it to any serious Political
Science students.

quizes! |

he is very knowledgeable in his subject area and makes class entertaining.

I would recommend taking Dr. Brudney. He is very smart and he goes over
the material thoroughly. He holds the class attention well and he manages
to quiet the over zealot government students (you know who you are) by
answering their questions shortly but not allowing them to completely
impeeded on our class dicussions. Plus he posts model homework answers on
the web. |
