I really liked Mrs. Ashley's class. You do have to put in work, but she is
very nice and helpful if you are confused with an assignment or need help
with anything during the essay-writing process. English 1A is a lot of
work, but Mrs. Ashley made the class fun and lively, and the essay
assignments were very enjoyable. |

JENNY ASHLEY
is extreeeemely precious and sweet. she loves her kids, so much so that she
even went to the extent of having an "english 1C reunion" at linnea's for
my section (and a lot of people went!). she seems more like a friend you
would have than a teacher. she is young, enthusiastic and energetic. anyone
would want to take her class-- I can't think of a reason not to take it. |

Ashley is a great person and a great teacher. she cares about her students
and if you want to get a good grade you will have no problem. the
atmosphere is very relaxed in her class, but she is a very enthusiastic,
"dynamic" teacher (in quotes because I hate that stupid word). this class
is mostly valuable for the writing you'll do and reading Fast Food
Nation/watching Supersize me and analyzing the two. |

Ashley likes to do a few group activities, and although some people may
find them "childish" they actually add a little flavor to the class,
instead of the same bland, monotonous lectures and writing assignments
which many teachers prefer. With Mrs. Ashley's vivrant, spunky attitude,
the class environment is very open and easy going (not the type of class
where you keep your mouth shut in fear of a humilifying oral lashing). If
you write good essays, I really recommend this class - she's a good writer
with some good advice. If you aren't good with essays, I still recommend
this class - I couldn't think of a better teacher who is more understanding
and willing to help and improve her students writing capabilities. This
teacher is by far an "A+" |

This instructor likes to treat the students like second-graders. For
example, "now everybody find a penny on the floor, then get in groups based
on how dirty your penny is." That and her grading scheme is completely
wacked! |
