Just a bad teacher. I've never had anyone make art so difficult for me to
grasp and he shuns your ideas if they aren't in line with his likings.
Listening to him talk about the military and his girlfriend, was equally
weak.

Nice teacher and makes sure you understand the material. However, the
sketchbook that you need to do for this class is an absolute joke. Sure, I
learned a thing or two, but the sketchbook consisted of over 100 pages
front and back of magazine clippings. What a waste of time and trees! The
reason he gave us for doing the sketchbook of magazine clippings is because
in today's world, we are surrounded by commercialism and media. What about
someone like me that has no TV and chooses to take nature walks and ride my
bike rather than drive my lazy ass down to LA for the weekend. Mike is a
really nice guy, but listening to him talk to the class about some reality
TV show he watched last night and how great it was, is really irritating
and sad.

Mr. Burns is a pretty cool guy. He reminds me of someone I would hang out
with. He loves art and has a diverse taste in it. He's nice to his
students and will talk to you after class if you need something.
Class-wise, it's kinda hard, lots of reading, semi hard tests, (meaning you
need to study for them)but you can get a A without too much problem. I'm
just too lazy study.

I took Mr. Burns for Art Appreciation during the summer. The class was as
hard and intense (study wise) as a history class. While I think Mr. Burns
is a decent teacher, the subject is hard to grasp. Mr. Burns is very nice,
understanding to student situations, and knows his subject well. So while I
would recommend the teacher, I would not recommend taking Art Appreciation.

cool guy-really a kid at heart-fun to draw in his class...He's a little
hard to understand sometimes, but totally energized about art. I'd give him
a B
