One of my favorite teachers. I recommend her for 1A. 

Great teacher. This class is fun. We read Fight Club and White Noise,
analyzed ads, and studied logic. The class is not easy but Bartley is a
blast...even early in the morning. It was more work than other courses at
Cuesta, but definitely worth it. In the end, this is one of the better
teachers here at Cuesta. I recommend this instructor.

Bartley is the best teacher I've had at Cuesta. I learned so much in her
class. Her class is challenging and she pushes you to write better, but I
walked away a lot stronger in English. Not everyone wants to work hard, so
don't take this class if you want an easy A.
Also, this was by far the funnest class I had all semester. This lady keeps
you laughing and keeps you thinking. 

If you suck it up and do as she says you will be fine in this class. She is
very knowledgeable on the subject but struggles with explaining it to
students who do not already understand. When I took the class, there were 3
papers and one test. She does tell you what is on the test as she teaches
so its really easy to study for and easy to pass. I got an A, I did learn a
lot even though I didn't agree with everything said and done in class.
